I started this blog as part of my senior Community Health major internship at Tufts University. Fall 2010, I had the privilege of interning with Julie Lampie, R.D., Tufts Dining dietitian. I have continued the blog for my own personal interest as well as a communication tool to highlight campus nutrition and fitness events and to work with Tufts Dining to provide suggestions for the healthiest dishes at local restaurants.
This year, I will complete a Master’s degree in Public Health with a Nutrition concentration from Tufts University School of Medicine as part of the BA/MPH program I began last fall. The blog continues to communicate my primary goal for the fall internship: to spread knowledge and love for delicious, healthy foods.
In addition to my degree from Tufts and my Master’s in Public Health expected spring 2012, my passion for health and fitness has led me to complete my Personal Training Certification from the Cooper Institute, NETA Group Exercise Certification, and Zumba Certification. I have enjoyed teaching Zumba & other cardio dance classes for Healthworks, Fitcorp, Bally, TSR Fitness, Tufts P.E. Department, Tufts University School of Medicine, AEON Health, the JCC of Dallas, and Churchill Recreation Center.
